When my daughter asked to see photos of us together, I found three selfies. Three! I realized that I was so focused on taking photos of her that I forgot to put myself in the picture. And I realized it was important to her to see me there.

I talked to my friends and we all realized that we had unwittingly made ourselves ghosts in our children’s photographic lives. And I wanted to change that.
